Our client, one of the globally recognized furniture retailers, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their dynamic team in Amsterdam on a 6-month hybrid B2B or PAYE.
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining data science, machine learning, and data engineering services. You will collaborate primarily within the tech domain alongside colleagues, and your product owner serves as the main liaison for stakeholders and internal users, with occasional direct interactions in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, improve, and sustain data science, machine learning, and data engineering solutions.
- Engage with fellow professionals in the technology field.
- Partner with product owners to facilitate communication between stakeholders and internal users.
Requirements:
- Strong scientific and engineering skills, especially in forecasting, simulating, and optimizing.
- Proficient in writing production-ready code, reviewing PRs, and contributing to maintainable codebases.
- Thorough understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Storage or BigQuery.
- Proficient in tools like Docker, Git, and Python.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, with basic understanding of backend and frontend technologies.
