3. How do you find working remotely? I actually prefer being based in the office and I have continued to be office based throughout the Pandemic (although happy to work remotely from a sunny beach when the opportunity arises).  
4. What’s your favourite industry to recruit in? My favourite industry to recruit for is Tech as I find many of my conversations with candidates are interesting and I learn about topics that interest me.   
5. What’s your favourite part of your job? I love the buzz of placing someone, there’s an adrenaline rush when some accepts a role.

7. Tell me something interesting about you? I have already lived in 5 counties and I am fluent in Gaeilge (Irish).

3. How do you find working remotely? I definitely love the flexibility and convenience it gives! Allows for a good work-life balance. It also saves a lot of commuting time to the office on a daily basis.

5. What’s your favourite part of your job? Having such a vital position – every new candidate can be the next best employee of the client, and it is my role to find and interview that best candidate! Very empowering and highly responsible task!

3. How do you find working remotely? It’s fine, luckily, thanks to the technology, I can stay in touch with everyone, even though we are kilometres away from each other.
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? Knowing that what I do is actually useful for other people, also – I love working with data, and there’s a lot of data to take care of.

3. How do you find working remotely? There is one of the best things, to be able to have work-life balance. Be able to manage my own time meanwhile I deliver the job and results.
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? The team is incredible, they all take in consideration each of everyone ideas that we put on the table. It is a dynamic and creative environment with good vibe.
5. You dial the phone, who is the ideal person who could answer your call? My dad, we have lots of things in common. He is always there to listen, share his opinion and makes me think in different ways, so I can have all perspectives before taking any decision.

3. How do you find working remotely? Working remotely is so nice, gives you flexibility but being the team that we are makes you feel integrated and connected as well. I really like it.
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? Being able to share everything with the team. This is the best place I’ve work at! The people is amazing and giving my best here feels just right.

7. Tell me something interesting about you? At the start of the first lockdown, I impulsively bought a wetsuit and a surfboard. I’ve fallen in love with the sea ever since and I try to get out for a surf or a swim as much as I can. I think it’s great for the soul.

Remote work is helping me achieve a great work-life balance  When I’m able to set my own hours, not only I am more focused to do my job diligently, supporting candidates, clients, and colleagues, and also able to spend more time with my family in Italy and Spain.

3. How do you find working remotely? I enjoy the convenience of it, especially no need to commute to my workplace. I also find it easier to concentrate on my work in comparison to working in a busy office.  
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? Creating positive candidate experience and helping them to find their dream jobs. Equally, my favourite part is collaboration with my colleagues.

3. How do you find working remotely? I was working remotely for about a year before Covid. Took some time to get used to it but I really enjoy it now. Think I’d struggle going back to the office full time. I feel like I’d spend most of the day talking to people instead of working but this could be because I haven’t seen my lovely work colleagues in over a year!  
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? Finding candidates perfect for a difficult role. Filling those roles!  Seeing our recruiters be successful and gain confidence and knowledge. Building relationships with clients.

Five minutes with Phil Finane

2. Where are you based? Based in Ireland, splitting my time between Dublin and Cork.

How do you find working remotely? Thanks to the established Allen Recruitment methodologies and the scalability of our internal systems and technology stack, we were well-positioned to meet and exceed the challenges posed by the pandemic. During the period of lockdown, I believe the communication mediums we’ve settled on here in Allen Recruitment have hit the right tone and have dovetailed nicely into the way our business was evolving anyway. Thanks to our heavy investment in technology and methodology over recent years, literally overnight we are able to switch from an office-based team to a remote team – overall, our business didn’t miss a beat. As we grow our presence across Europe and beyond, I think the challenges over the last year or so have provided a real test and validation of our systems and have allowed us to bring forward and tweak the changes needed to be a true multi-regional recruitment provider. For me personally, working remotely from my home in Cork – I have enjoyed the convenience of flexible hours which has led to an overall improved work-life balance.  
4. What’s your favourite part of your job?  Working with Allen Recruitment Account Managers and clients on hard-to-fill Technical roles. Determining hiring manager’s requirements and developing suitable candidate lists for our recruiters to work on.

   Other than that, maybe the Leinster Rugby Ticket officer telling me I’ve won a lifetime season ticket for the RDS.  
6. Tell me something interesting about you? Leinster Rugby Supporter. Outside of work, I am interested in anything Astronomy and Deep Sky Astrophotography related.

1. What is your role within the company? Talent Acquisition, Training and Instructional Design Lead

3. How do you find working remotely? I love the sounds of my own voice so it is safer for everyone if I work remotely.   
4. What’s your favourite industry to recruit in? I love to work across numerous industries for variety.

1. What is your role within the company? Managing outsourcing projects, also dealing with compliance and general process improvement.
2. Where are you based? At the moment, jumping between Ireland and Croatia.
3. How do you find working remotely? Logical, productive and fulfilling.
4. What’s your favourite part of your job? Noticing positive impact of implemented changes, this is most rewarding when we receive positive feedback from our customers.

3. How do you find working remotely? Loving it – I started working remotely a couple of years back and I can never go back.

3. How do you find working remotely? I like working remotely as this saves me time, instead of commuting on a daily basis I can go to the gym when I finished up for the day and manage my time more efficiently.

What’s your favourite part of your job? My favourite part of the job is when I manage to place a candidate with his or her dream company, the sheer happiness in their voice when they are getting an offer that they desired for a long time, is just simply precious. That is the time when I feel that my work has the potential to make a real and valuable impact on people’s life.

7. Tell me something interesting about you? I tried myself out working in different areas before engaging with recruitment. One of my favourite experiences was spending a whole summer as a baker in the United States. I baked special wedding cakes and for events with more than 300 participants. There was no place for making mistakes and the pressure was very high, but using my creative side, designing and creating something was a joyful and unforgettable experience.
