Job Description:

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about DevOps processes to join our Global Software Development team as we design new, web-based and mobile applications as part of our growth strategy. The role is based in their HQ in Dublin, where the new hire will work together with Existing DevOps processes and multiple Agile Development teams. The products our client develops and supports are used by thousands of optician sites worldwide. They use the Scaled Agile Framework to support its Global Software Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, automate, and manage software on production systems to ensure optimal availability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement and maintain a delivery process that supports continuous deployment.
  • Manage build, release, and configuration of production systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new applications into CI/CD processes.
  • Monitor and enhance the Continuous Integration environment in real-time.
  • Work closely with Architects, developers, and network engineers to support all stages of development, including production releases.
  • Deploy software manually and through automated procedures in cloud environments.
  • Assist in Azure Infrastructure automation.
  • Lead and prioritize key areas of DevOps responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in Release Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Bicep) and YAML pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Git and SCM strategies, as well as release strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multicultural team environment.
  • Fluency in English; additional European language skills are advantageous.
  • Quick problem-solving skills and ability to grasp technical concepts rapidly.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a high-energy work environment and contribute positively to team dynamics.
