Our client, a leading SaaS software solutions provider in the MedTech / HealthTech industry, is seeking a talented Senior Technical Writer to join their global development team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to play a crucial role in creating, editing, and managing technical documentation that supports the company’s products and services.
Role Description
As the Senior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent and up-to-date product documentation, defining and owning documentation workflows, and overseeing the discoverability and user experience of the company’s documentation platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and customer success teams to ensure the technical complexity of the software is communicated in a user-friendly manner for the global audience of opticians and optometrists.
Must Have Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication or relevant technical qualification
- Expert Technical Writing experience in a software company
- Strong understanding of technical writing best practices and methodologies
- Familiarity with software development processes, including Agile and SAFe
- Proficiency in tools such as Markdown, XML, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar
- Native level of fluency in English
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, clear terms for non-technical audiences
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in the healthcare or medtech industry
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) or APIs
- Familiarity with content management systems and version control systems (e.g., Git)
