Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of their cutting-edge automation toolchain, ensuring the seamless integration of their IT infrastructure.
Role Description
As the Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for translating system, network, and storage designs into automation tools, automating recurring actions and maintenance activities, and ensuring the resulting automation toolchain remains up-to-date and aligned with the deployed infrastructure. You will also participate in specific projects related to your area of expertise, collaborating closely with the Infrastructure Architects Team, Service Delivery Manager, and Project Manager.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ICT domains, with at least 2 years as an Automation Engineer or in a comparable role (SRE, DevOps, etc.)
- In-depth technical understanding of IT concepts for every layer in the stack, with administrator-level understanding of at least one commercial or open-source tool in areas such as storage, virtualization, operating systems, physical infrastructure, and networking
- Proficient in Ansible (including Molecule or alternatives), Python (including pytest and testinfra or alternatives), and Linux Shell Scripting
- Working experience with Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform, Git, and test-driven development
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and demonstrated ability to work in complex environments
- Self-directed with proven ability to prepare mature decisions supported by thorough data analysis
- Knowledge of ITIL V3 principles
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- EU Secret PSC (Personal Security Clearance)
Nice to Have Skills
- Working experience with an EU client or other public institution
