Our client, a leading multinational technology conglomerate, is seeking a talented Media Analyst to join their Media Intelligence team in the UK. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work with one of the world’s most valuable companies, analysing press coverage and social media conversations across the EMEA region. The Media Analyst role is ideal for candidates with a background in journalism, communications, or media analysis, who excel in both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
This is a fully remote role (within the UK), on an initial 6 month fixed term contract basis.
Role Description
As a Media Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring news cycles and providing insights on our client’s most pressing issues. This role is crucial in quantifying the impact of the communications team’s work for both reactive and proactive activities. The Media Analyst will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, delivering high-quality work under time constraints. Must Have Skills
- 1-4 years of experience in a similar role such as media analysis, research, journalism, campaign analysis, market research or working for a media agency, media analysis firm, a media measurement platform or think tank
- Fluent in English. Additional languages(French/ Spanish/German) are a major plus.
- Analytical skills such as Excel/ spreadsheets for qualitative data
- Familiarity with the media market in EMEA(UK specifically)
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Broadcast, Political Science, Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related field
- Experience in working with media monitoring tools such as News Web and Talk Walker a plus
