Role Overview
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, guiding budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to drive strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will lead a team of analysts, partnering with business units to ensure financial alignment with corporate goals, and promoting data-driven insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year financial plans, aligning with organizational strategy.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, presenting key insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key finance business partner to various departments, providing insight and support to optimize financial performance and drive efficiencies.
- Financial Modeling & Scenario Analysis: Develop and review financial models to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, scenario planning, and capital investment evaluation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in financial reporting and planning.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support the Head of Finance on strategic projects, including M&A analysis, market assessments, and benchmarking exercises.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a management position within financial services or a comparable sector.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion); strong knowledge of financial modeling and analysis techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team; experience in managing multiple stakeholders and balancing strategic and operational demands.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
