FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER AUTOMATION
We are partnering our Client in recruiting for a Field Service Engineer – Automation, for the field service department in Antwerpen. Salary circa 30-48,000 EUROS – Depending on experience.
They are a leading manufacturer of gas and diesel engines within the maritime, energy and industrial sectors aiming at supporting clients in becoming 100% carbon-neutral. With centuries of high-quality production and pan-European presence.
Your Role:
- You carry out automation and electrical service jobs, trouble shooting and commissioning jobs on board vessels, on engine control and safety systems as well as propulsion control systems.
- You complete commissioning and service attendances in a timely and effective manner.
- You collect all necessary information related to each project in order to prepare the attendance.
- You are able to make an action plan and deliver proper documentation after any service or commissioning job.
- You promote the development and implementation of best practices in your own area of responsibility.
Your qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/ or Automation Engineering, affinity with marine engineering, mechanical engineer or similar disciplines; You are able to read electrical / pneumatic drawings and have PLC literacy (Codesys).
- You are experienced with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of marine equipment.
- You have Field experience in Maritime, shipping, an/or offshore oil & Gas installations.
- You have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- You are self-motivated, well organized, highly collaborative and a team player; able to work independently.
- You can work under time pressure and you have excellent technical and communication skills.
- As working language is English, you have a good command of the English language (spoken and written).
- You are able to travel often and on short notice, worldwide (valid driver’s license + passport); (+85% of the time).
