We are searching for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our client who are a leading management consulting firm and work with some the biggest names across Pharma, Tech, Not for profit and many other governmental and non-government sectors.

Join our client’s Secure Foundations – MCS team within their Tech Ecosystem organisation. As they are rapidly transitioning from traditional IT to a Digital era, they are embracing Agile principles and seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer with an SRE mindset. In this role, you will develop new products and services, integrating them into client work.

You will work in small, highly collaborative teams comprising product managers, developers, and operations professionals. Using the latest technologies, you will see the direct impact of your work. Combining Agile methodologies with cloud, big data, and mobile expertise, you will create and maintain custom solutions consistent with SRE principles.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and operating IT systems and processes supporting SaaS applications and platforms.
  • Automating provisioning, quality controls, security auditing, and maintenance.
  • Continuously measuring and improving the efficiency of operational activities and resources.
  • What We Expect from You:
  • Deep SRE Expertise: Practice, role model, and coach teams in key SRE competencies.
  • Culture and Organization: Champion CI/CD practices, error budgets, and blameless postmortems. Remove team boundaries and contribute to the SRE community within the organization and beyond.
  • Design and Architecture: Full-stack engineer with DR/BCP experience, proficient in cloud-native models, reliability engineering advisory, and API-based component architecture.
  • Build & Deploy: Proficient in SCM and CI/CD tooling for container workloads, developer workflows, multiple programming, and IaC languages. Enable automated zero-downtime deployments.
  • Test & Verification: Expertise in TDD principles, test automation tools, chaos-engineering practices, and wheels-of-misfortune exercises.
  • Information & Reporting: Seasoned in outcome-centric monitoring/measurement and stakeholder-specific reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Programming Languages: Python, Golang, Ruby, JavaScript, and others.
  • IaC Languages: Terraform, Ansible, and others.
  • CI/CD Tooling: CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub (Actions), and others.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Test-kitchen, Awspec, Inspec, and others.
  • Public Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
  • API Life-cycle Management and Message Bus Technologies: Apigee, Kafka, and others.
  • Web Front-end and Database Products: Nginx, Postgres, Mongo, Redis.
  • Monitoring and Data Analytics Tools: Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and others.
  • Networking Experience: Load balancing, network security, standard network protocols (HTTP/s, DNS, etc.).
  • Operating System Experience: Linux, Windows.
