As a Build and Release Engineer you will oversee the end-to-end release process for the clients’ software solutions, with a focus on streamlining and optimising release management workflows.

We’re seeking someone with a blend of technical prowess, a knack for process improvement, and stellar communication abilities. The ideal candidate will bring experience in release engineering, build management, or a similar domain, showcasing a track record of implementing and fine-tuning CI/CD pipelines. A deep understanding of release management principles and methodologies is crucial, along with the capability to analyse, design, and enhance intricate release processes. As a Release Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping our clients streamline their operations and deliver top-notch patient care within the eyecare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and optimise the efficacy of release management procedures.
  • Monitor and manage technical aspects and configurations while offering customer support.
  • Lead the end-to-end release process, with a focus on streamlining workflows for client software solutions.
  • Identify automation prospects and implement efficient solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate across teams to synchronize release activities and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain and refine CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Swiftly troubleshoot pipeline issues to minimise downtime and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
  • Develop and uphold comprehensive documentation supporting release processes and configurations.
  • Monitor and resolve pipeline failures promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure seamless compatibility of new software releases with existing software, hardware, and systems.
  • Create and update detailed documentation for release processes, configurations, and deployment procedures.
  • Provide training and support to team members on release-related processes and tools.

Technologies Needed:

  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub for software compilation with CI/CD pipelines, and scripting languages like Shell and Python for process automation

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in release engineering or build management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Strong grasp of release management best practices and methodologies.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with fluent English proficiency.
