Role Description
This position is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced visualization tools, primarily Power BI. The role involves designing and deploying robust reports, optimizing data models, and ensuring high standards of data quality and governance. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple environments, supporting the company’s strategic analytical initiatives and modern BI practices.
Technical Must Have Skills:
- Advanced Power BI: Expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), and performance tuning, with a proven track record of deploying end-to-end Power BI solutions.
- SQL Fluency: Strong ability to prepare, transform, and query relational databases, including MSSQL and MySQL, ensuring efficient data retrieval and management.
- Data Preparation with Python: Practical knowledge in scripting for automation, validation, or data transformation tasks.
- Experience with Multi-environment Deployments: Knowledge of managing development, testing, and production deployments, including version control and release practices.
- Understanding of R: Ability to read and comprehend R code, supporting legacy environment migration, with familiarity to facilitate the transition rather than develop in R.
Technical Nice to Have Skills:
- Cloud Data Platform Experience: Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, supporting scalable and flexible BI solutions.
- Data Governance Principles: Knowledge of data ownership, documentation, and access policies to ensure compliant and reliable data management.
- Monitoring and Refresh Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Power BI service scheduling, gateways, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or similar tools to maintain report reliability.
- Knowledge of Data Migration and Legacy Systems: Understanding the migration process from R-based environments to modern BI platforms.
- Fluent Communication in Spanish and English: Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, supporting global collaboration.
