Role Overview:
The Business Development Rep will be responsible for securing new projects by proactively looking for opportunities in the marketplace and responding to customer requests. The successful candidate will be supporting existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.
Responsibilities:
- Visiting building sites, merchants on a daily basis and managing orders as per specification by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Working towards specific targets and KPIs, monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, etc.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies and undertaking training as required.
- Assisting in product and application development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of pertinent sales experience, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in acquiring product knowledge.
- Outstanding communication abilities, capable of engaging and educating clients while effectively promoting product upgrades.
- Valid driver’s license essential for regular travel within the Munster and Connaught regions.
