This is a hands-on quantitative analytics role in a pan‑European investment firm. The team in Wrocław works on portfolio valuation and investment analysis—your work feeds into decisions, not just reporting.
If you’re the kind of person who:
- enjoys getting from messy data → clean logic → defendable conclusions, and
- takes pride in doing things properly, not approximately,
you’ll fit well here.
What you’ll actually do
- Prepare and sanity-check real datasets (yes: messy, incomplete, inconsistent at times)
- Build analysis in Python (sometimes R) and SQL
- Support forecasting / scenario work and improve existing models over time
- Turn numbers into clear, structured explanations for non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to repeatable workflows (templates, tooling, automation)
What we’re looking for (straight, no nonsense)
- A strong quantitative background: Mathematics / Statistics / Econometrics / Physics / Engineering / Data Science
- Solid fundamentals + the discipline to check your work
- Python (pandas / notebooks / basic modelling)
- SQL (joins, aggregations, extracting datasets)
- You communicate clearly and you’re comfortable saying: “Here’s what we know, here’s what we assume, here’s the risk.”
Finance experience is not required. Analytical thinking is.
