A PE-backed, product-led business in the hygiene space is hiring a true new-business hunter to win UK customers and build a repeatable sales engine. This is a blank-canvas role: you’ll own the territory, shape the go-to-market approach, and be judged on new logos and revenue—not account management.
What you’ll be doing
- Hunting new business end-to-end: prospecting, qualifying, pitching, negotiating, closing
- Targeting multi-site operators and hygiene-adjacent sectors where outcomes, compliance, and operational performance matter
- Building a strong pipeline using disciplined activity, smart targeting, and crisp messaging
- Working closely with leadership on market feedback, positioning, and what’s landing (and what isn’t)
- Keeping your CRM tight: forecasting, pipeline hygiene, clear next steps
Core skills we need (this is the focus)
- Proven B2B new business track record (consistent new-logo wins)
- Comfort running a full sales cycle from cold outreach to close
- High-output prospecting habits (you don’t wait for marketing leads)
- Strong commercial instincts: qualify properly, control a process, close cleanly
- Confidence selling a “product + outcome/ROI” story (ideally product-led rather than long, vague services cycles)
- Bonus (not essential): experience selling into hygiene, washroom services, facilities, healthcare, hospitality, food-service, industrial supplies—or any market where hygiene/standards/uptime matter
- Bonus (not essential): reseller / distributor / channel partner exposure
Location / travel
- You can be based anywhere in the UK (remote-first)
- UK travel as needed for key meetings
What makes it attractive for hunters
- UK-only focus: tight territory, clear targets, fast pace
- Autonomy + visibility: you’re building something, not inheriting a sleepy patch
- A product that solves a real operational problem (easier to create urgency than “nice-to-have” offerings)
