We’re hiring a hands-on Java Engineer to work on a mission-critical, real-world platform running on Java 7 / Java 8. This is not greenfield hype. It’s production engineering: stability, performance, clean refactoring, and careful delivery.

What you’ll be doing
- Building and maintaining backend services in Java 7/8
- Debugging incidents, improving performance, and shipping safely in production
- Working in a mature codebase with pragmatic refactors, clean code, and sensible testing
- Collaborating closely with a Madrid-based engineering team
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Java 7 and/or Java 8 (this is essential)
- Solid backend fundamentals (APIs, data access, reliability, troubleshooting)
- Comfortable working in legacy constraints with a calm, methodical approach
- Based in Madrid or open to relocating
