Role Description
The Cloud Architect spearheads the development and governance of complex cloud architectures spanning Azure and other major cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP. The role involves translating business needs into robust, secure, and optimized cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards. Acting as a technical leader within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), the candidate will lead modernization efforts, support cloud migration projects, and champion infrastructure automation and cloud-native patterns. The position requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver resilient, compliant, and cost-effective cloud environments that support organizational growth.
Technical Must Have Skills
- Cloud Architecture Design & Implementation – Proven experience in designing scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions on Azure and at least one additional major provider (AWS or GCP). Expertise in building resilient, cost-efficient architectures.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Advanced proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, enabling automation, repeatability, and infrastructure management at scale.
- Cloud Security & Governance – Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, identity management, network security, and compliance standards (e.g., Azure Policy, RBAC, CIS benchmarks) to ensure secure deployments.
- Automation & CI/CD Practices – Experience implementing containerized solutions with Kubernetes and Docker, alongside automation pipelines for continuous integration and deployment in cloud environments.
- Multi-Cloud Strategy & Best Practices – Knowledge of multi-cloud deployment strategies, optimizing workloads across different providers while maintaining consistency, compliance, and governance.
Technical Nice to Have Skills
- Containerization & Orchestration – Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker enhances cloud-native design and operational flexibility, supporting scalable application deployment.
- Cloud Cost Management & Optimization – Ability to analyze and reduce cloud spend, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, directly impacting bottom-line profitability.
- Advanced Data & Network Skills – Knowledge of cloud networking, virtual private networks, and data migration techniques supports complex infrastructure needs.
- Cloud Certification Credentials – Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCSP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect can demonstrate verified expertise and boost credibility.
- Strategic Cloud Planning – Experience in developing and implementing multi-cloud strategies with a focus on governance, security, and operational excellence.
