Our client is hiring a high-impact BI Specialist to join an expanding Business Intelligence function and lead the rebuild of the reporting layer end-to-end.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, trusted decision-making—and who can partner confidently with stakeholders across a global, multi-environment setup. You’ll sit in a modern, integrated team that blends BI, IT and Data, with real ownership and the opportunity to leave a measurable footprint on how reporting is built, governed and scaled.
Role Description
You’ll design, build and deploy scalable Power BI solutions that move beyond dashboards—delivering robust semantic models, efficient refresh patterns, and reliable reporting standards.
Key focus areas include:
- Building high-performance Power BI models and reports from ingestion to publish
- Developing and optimising DAX measures, Power Query (M) transformations and data models
- Ensuring strong data quality, governance and documentation
- Supporting a structured Dev/Test/Prod deployment approach and release discipline
- Helping the business transition from legacy reporting into modern BI practices
Technical Must-Have Skills
- Advanced Power BI – Proven experience across data modelling, DAX, Power Query (M) and performance tuning, delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions in production.
- SQL Fluency (MSSQL / MySQL) – Strong capability to prepare, transform and query relational datasets, enabling efficient retrieval and dependable reporting outputs.
- Python for Data Preparation – Practical scripting skills used for automation, validation and transformation tasks.
- Multi-environment Deployment Experience – Comfortable working across development / testing / production, including version control and release practices.
Technical Nice-to-Have Skills
- Cloud Data Platforms: Azure, AWS and/or GCP exposure
- Understanding of R (legacy support)
Ability to read and understand R code to support migration from a legacy environment (not a core development requirement). - Data Governance: ownership, access policies, documentation standards
- Monitoring & Refresh Orchestration: Power BI Service scheduling, gateways, ADF (or similar)
- Legacy Migration Experience: moving from R-based reporting into modern BI platforms
- Spanish + English: able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Educational / Certification Requirements
