Financial Controller
Based in the heart of Dublin’s Silicon Docks (Dublin 2), our client is a leader in the shipping and transport services industry in Europe.
They are looking for a Financial Controller with 3+ years’ experience in a Finance Operations role to join them on a permanent basis.
Our client is currently conducting all interviews online and are onboarding all new workers remotely.

Overall Responsibilities:
- Statutory reporting, taxation/VAT matters and other elements of corporate reporting to be performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Provide business support in selected areas such as ERP, new investments, or specific projects.
- Support business finance in financial analysis.
- Support M&A due diligence and post-integration support.
- Enhancing finance function efficiency – improving local finance effectiveness, as well as support migration of tasks to a Finance Shared Service Centre, leading to a leaner and more productive structure.
- Responsible for reviewing findings and ensure collaboration with the local entities takes place to assist with the making of financial decisions.
- Ensuring the group policies are adhered to and control mechanisms are in place, to provide comfort and assurance that active and strong governance is being undertaken.
What does the Ideal Candidate look like?
- At least 3+ years experience in a similar role.
- A solid understanding of statutory requirements for both ROI & HMRC financial processes.
- Experience in an accountancy practice and exposure to IFRS.
- A proactive individual with the personality and communications skills enabling effortless interaction across multiple locations / countries.
