Expert MDM Software Engineer (Developer)

  • Location: San Francisco, California, United States
  • Remote: Remote
  • Type: Permanent
  • Job #26111

We’re hiring a number of remote software developers who write MDM/endpoint code.

This is not an MDM Administrator / Endpoint Engineer / IT Ops role. If your day-to-day is mainly configuring policies in Jamf/Intune/Kandji, packaging apps, or running fleet operations, this role won’t be a fit.

We want engineers who have built the software behind device management: endpoint agents, OS-level collectors/enforcers, MDM/UEM platform integrations, and the backend systems that turn fleet telemetry into real-time compliance.

What you’ll be coding

  • Endpoint/agent development on macOS / Windows / Linux (native components that talk to OS frameworks)
    • Example areas: Apple Endpoint Security, system extensions, Windows low-level networking/security hooks, daemon/services, secure local state, performance-safe telemetry
  • MDM/UEM platform integrations (product-side)
    • Build/maintain bi-directional sync + normalization pipelines with Jamf / Intune / Kandji / FleetDM APIs
  • Backend compliance engines (Go)
    • High-throughput services that evaluate encryption, patch status, device posture, and policy compliance in near real time
  • Product features end-to-end
    • Admin console / dashboards / policy rule builders in TypeScript + React

This is for you if you’ve done things like…

  • shipped a cross-platform endpoint agent (or substantial native modules) used in production
  • built MDM connectors as a vendor/product (not “I integrated Intune for my company’s tenant”)
  • owned telemetry pipelines (event ingestion, normalization, streaming, policy evaluation) at scale
  • cared deeply about footprint, reliability, and zero-user-impact performance

What we’re looking for

  • Strong programming background in Go, Rust, C/C++, Swift (agent + backend)
  • Hands-on experience with MDM/UEM APIs (Jamf/Intune/Kandji/FleetDM) from the product engineering side
  • Comfortable working close to the OS, debugging real-world endpoint weirdness, and shipping hardened code
  • TypeScript/React experience to deliver user-facing product functionality
