A prominent client in Sweden, located in Malmö and Helsingborg, is looking for a skilled Data Architect to join their team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major client and contribute to transformative projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Contract Duration: 7+ months
 

The Data Architect’s main objective is to accelerate the establishment of the domain data mesh using and contributing to the Data Platform in the context of:

  • People operations transformation (POT)
  • People Planning Acceleration (PPA)
  • Environmental Governmental Social (ESG) data products

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Technical Architecture, other Data Architects, Digital, and Enterprise Data Management.
  • Guide engineering teams and related management in implementing the reference architecture using the reference implementation.
  • Communicate with and engage key stakeholders both regularly and when relevant.
  • Define high-level target data product landscape including prioritization.
  • Define conceptual models for the People domain (50% of domain left).
  • Assist in defining logical models with the ambition to delegate to Senior Engineers for maintenance.
  • Engage as domain architect in developing technical capabilities (e.g., data classification) and establishing practices (e.g., data modeling practice).
  • Lead and drive the collection of metadata for documentation of integration landscape.
  • Define target architecture and its transitional stages (short-term, mid-term, long-term).

Non-negotiable Requirements:

  • Demonstrated seniority in leadership, self-driving, solid experience in stakeholder management.
  • Extensive experience in modern data architecture with a solid understanding of the data mesh.
  • Data and information modeling on different levels of abstraction.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define and express target architectures and transitional stages for short-term, mid-term, and long-term.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Significant experience driving strategy to roadmap to backlog to execution.
  • Significant experience with legal challenges of working with sensitive and personal data (e.g., GDPR), including aspects such as cross-border transfer, access management, classification, data protection, and retention.
  • Significant experience with the challenges of working in a multi-regional, multi-cloud context.
  • Effective communicator across organizational, business, and technical boundaries.
  • Significant experience in guiding teams and making architecture recommendations/decisions with a business focus.
  • Significant experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF 10) and paradigms (e.g., data mesh, DDD).
  • Good understanding of data pipelines and data transformation.
