Our client, a global leader in the premium drinks industry, renowned for its unrivalled portfolio of iconic brands are searching for an experienced Tax Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.  

 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the business leaders to drive tax strategies, policies, and governance frameworks, ensuring robust tax risk management and compliance. Based in Ireland, you’ll partner with the Senior Tax Manager for Ireland, both reporting to the Europe and Africa Tax Director, to spearhead the clients’  Irish Tax Agenda.

Location: Dublin City Centre 

Employment Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract  

Workplace: Remote from Ireland, with occasional visits to Dublin office

In this role you will be responsible for: 

 

Tax Compliance: 

  • Support Irish tax compliance, financial reporting, and obligations. 

  • Collaborate with tax compliance teams and advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax computation, payment, and accounting. 

  • Implement tax-related processes in alignment with global standards and seek opportunities for standardization and simplification. 

 

External Relationships: 

  • Lead key relationships with the Irish tax authority, managing the Cooperative Compliance Framework and addressing tax audits/queries. 

  • Oversee relationships with external tax advisors, ensuring timely and valuable tax advice delivery. 

 

Finance Business Partnership: 

  • Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders, staying informed of priorities and acting as a trusted advisor to enhance tax management. 

  • Educate stakeholders on key tax issues, ensuring adherence to relevant tax policies and standards while mitigating risks. 

 

Value Creation and Risk Management: 

  • Advise partners on tax issues, promote adherence to tax policies, and mitigate risks. 

  • Identify opportunities for standardization and simplification, conducting thorough risk assessments and communicating key issues to stakeholders. 

 

Governance & Change: 

  • Support internal or external changes, providing tax support for market-initiated projects. 

  • Stay updated on tax law changes and best practices, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending actions accordingly. 

 

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified with ACA or ACCA /AITI accreditation (UK or Ireland) 

  • 3+ years corporate tax experience, ideally 1-3+ PQE experience 

  • Preferably have previous experience in a tax function within a global multinational or a tax advisory firm 

  • Proficiency in Irish Tax compliance practices 

  • Strong Excel
