Software Installation and Training Consultant

Allen Recruitment are currently assisting a multinational leader in the development of software products, remaining as one of the world’s top software and service providers with clients based in 42 countries globally.

Headquartered in Dublin Ireland, our client is currently looking for a Software Installation and Training Consultant for their Vancouver office in Burnaby (hybrid) with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and willingness to travel to client sites frequently.

Due to expected travels, it is required to have a permanent residency in Canada or a Canadian citizenship to be considered for this role.

The successful candidate will be initially mostly installing and configuring the new client’s software on customers’ sites to align with their business processes/requirements. From small independent opticians to large globally recognised retail chains, candidates will encounter evolving challenges, which require both technical and real-world problem-solving skills.

What will a Software Installation and Training Consultant do?

  • Installing and configuring the client’s software on customers’ sites to align with their business processes/requirements
  • Working with Implementation Managers to understand customer needs and success metrics for the customer deliveries.
  • Remote and On-Site customer training.
  • Development of the client’s training courses and documentation using best practice procedures, methodologies and tools.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution to avoid customer impact.
  • Assist team members in the development and implementation of technical solutions (Implementations, Upgrades and Migrations).
  • Provide the customers with post go live support remotely.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time should it be necessary.

The successful candidate must have:

  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role including software installation and training.
  • A degree / diploma / MA in IT / Computer science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a consultative approach to customer engagements/deliveries.
  • Have a full, clean driving licence (frequent client to client sites).
