Headquartered in the US, our client with a world-leading technology conglomerate is looking for a Social Media Manager with over 2 years of experience in Managing social channels for an innovative brand, to join them initially in an 11 month contract.

Your responsibilities will include keeping tract of trends, managing budgets and working cross functionally with many teams to become the brand’s ambassador on social media.

What will you do?   

  • Become the company voice on social media — elevating the brand and telling our story in a way that is meaningful, authentic and engaging.
  • Manage concepting and creation of social content and become a trusted voice for our community of sellers across the UK.
  • Work independently and alongside agencies as appropriate.
  • Be accomplished in bringing ideas, campaigns and moments to life on digital channels, and be comfortable taking creative concepts and tailoring them for social.
  • Grow the UK’s presence on social across existing and new platforms, building an engaged community of business owners and decision makers.
  • Use organic social media to achieve our marketing goals, including engagement, brand perception, consideration, and lead generation and/or customer acquisition.
  • Report on progress against the metrics for success, and on social’s contribution to wider marketing goals.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to bring our campaigns and creative to life across our social channels.
  • Collaborate with our global teams on defining social best practice, resourcing requirements and establishing a best-in-class approach to the combination of paid and organic social.
  • Use interactions with our community on social media to understand our audience in a deep way.
  • Be an expert on the trends, cultural moments and issues that our audience cares most about.
  • Manage budgets effectively.

About you:

  • Managing social channels for an innovative brand, publisher or person (including yourself!)
  • Managing creative development of photography and video assets.
  • Excellent attention to detail, in both written and visual communication.
  • Finger on the pulse when it comes to social trends, and cultural moments and knowing how and when to translate these into brand moments.
  • Solid analytical skills and experience working with data, especially within social platforms and/or CMS tools
  • A growth mindset and the ability to think on your feet.
