Allen Recruitment is currently assisting the largest financial group being one of the fastest-growing banks in Europe. Our client is building their IT hub in Poland to support Nordic regions.
Based in Warsaw, Gdansk, or Gdynia, they are currently looking for an experienced Senior Spark Scala Developer with 4+ years of experience in Scala, experience with distributed data processing engines, proficiency in SQL and familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem.
This will be a B2B arrangement for 8 months.
It is fully remote role, with a requirement to travel to the office once a quarter (3city/Warsaw).
Our client is currently conducting all interviews online and is onboarding all new employees remotely.

What you’ll be doing:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Scala.
- Experience with distributed data processing engines like Spark.
- Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Previous experience in creating data flows.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of code versioning and branching strategies (BitBucket/Git).
