What you will be responsible for?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate payroll processing. Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, changes, and terminations.
- Review and maintain payroll inputs such as pay, deductions, and taxes. Verify and manage time and attendance records.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing various employee services related issues, such as time and attendance, shift premiums, taxation, stock options RSU’s, APSS scheme, relocation taxing issues, and payroll-related accruals.
- Respond to inquiries on payroll-related questions from employees and external contacts.
- Perform various month-end close tasks, including preparing journal entries. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and tax filing.
- Uphold a strong internal controls environment, as required by SOX, by designing and maintaining effective controls and procedures, ensuring compliance, monitoring audit findings, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate and communicate with HR, Legal, Finance, and other management as required on payroll-related matters. Support the Payroll Manager when necessary on payroll-related projects.
What do you need?
- Minimum 3 – 5 years relevant experience in similar role is essential
- Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and HR systems (MS Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, HCM, preferred)
- Good knowledge and understanding of applicable local legislation and employment laws and compliance
- Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills, good presentation, and facilitation skills
