Our client is a global leader in digital transformation, specializing in hi-tech, hi-performing transactional services, unified communications, cloud / SaaS, big data & and ML analytics, and cybersecurity services across numerous industries. THE ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our clients’ network infrastructure.
Your mission is to optimize performance, enhance stability, and guarantee the security of the network systems.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing:

  • Network Optimization: You’ll review network designs and configurations to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks and issues affecting service performance.
  • Infrastructure Tuning: Collaborate with area owners to fine-tune infrastructure, platform, and application network configurations to meet performance requirements.
  • Performance Testing: Coordinate with nonfunctional test teams to ensure accurate load, performance, and break testing to make informed program decisions.
  • Implementation: Lead the technical implementation of networking improvements, ensuring they align with our architectural framework.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Establish effective monitoring and alerting systems for the networking layer to maintain optimal performance.
  • Interoperability: Verify that network changes are feasible within our established architectural framework.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Perform cost-benefit analyses to guide decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in the ICT field, with a strong background in designing and implementing large distributed networks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SDNs and Cisco ACI, familiarity with Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls, Linux kernel network parameter tuning, and experience with load balancers (F5 BigIP experience is a plus).
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with RedHat Openshift and Istio service mesh.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and a second language in French or Dutch is preferable.
