Based in Dublin, our client is a leading vendor in on demand financial management and human capital management software.

They are seeking a Senior Category Manager to develop and manage global strategies for their Marketing and Meetings/Events categories in the EMEA region. You will be responsible for executing the end-to-end sourcing process, including creating and managing category strategies, negotiating contracts and pricing, and supplier management.

What will the Senior Category Manager do? 
 

  • Develop and manage global category strategies for Marketing and Meetings/Events in the EMEA region.
  • Execute the end-to-end sourcing process, including creating and managing category strategies, spend and market analysis, negotiating contracts and pricing, and supplier management.
  • Identify key benchmark suppliers in RFx efforts. Measure, report and action cost productivity as a function of market pricing.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and maximize value, while providing insights based on market conditions and trends.
  • Investigate innovative methods to optimize value from goods and service providers, improve the decision-making process, and increase the flow of information.
  • Develop and own the category sourcing plan, ensuring all internal business requirements are met.
  • Coordinate suppliers and internal customers and review supplier and business roadmaps.

What does the Ideal Candidate look like?
                           

  • 4-7 years of experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated sourcing experience leading RFx’s, conducting supplier management and managing a sourcing category
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple sourcing categories such as Real Estate, Workplace, Marketing, Benefits, Employee Services and other.
