Are you ready to dive into an exciting opportunity as a Senior Accountant with one of our prestigious clients, a leading online marketplace platform? Based in the vibrant city of Dublin, Ireland, this role offers the perfect blend of remote and in-office work with an 11-month contract.
Joining our client’s International Accounting team means you’ll be at the forefront, reporting directly to the Senior Manager and managing the monthly US GAAP close process, using your general ledger experience.
As part of your role, you’ll be crafting entries for lease accounting, capital software, and tackling an array of diverse ad hoc accounting challenges. It’s not just about crunching numbers; you’ll be taking charge of multiple entities, mastering the art of statutory financial statement prep, and dominating the audit game.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct month-end activities for timely closure and operational efficiency.
- Supervise month-end financial processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, including FLUX review.
- Generate accounting entries for lease accounting, software, and complex transactions, alongside routine journal entries.
- Manage tasks related to new entity establishment, amalgamations, dissolutions, and acquisitions.
- Coordinate with regional financial service providers to align externally prepared financial statements with US GAAP ledgers.
- Audit local statutory financial statements for designated entities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives to optimize financial reporting processes and other projects.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of post-qualification experience (ACCA) in advancing accounting/finance positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP month-end procedures and local statutory financial reporting, general ledger.
- Proficient in using Excel.
