We are recruiting for a Product Support Engineer / After Sales Engineer, possessing strong technical knowledge of equipment used in Maritime and Power Generation industries, for our Partnered Engineering Client, based in their Capelle aan den Ijssel office, in Holland. (Gross month salary between 3800 and 5600 euro gross per month – Depending on Experience)
As Product Support Engineer you will be responsible for supporting over 100 service locations globally, liaising with service managers, ensuring personnel readiness, and actively shaping the technical side of go-to-market strategies for new products.
Your role:
- Active support of Company’s service locations worldwide (service engineers and workshops) in all technical matters related to the assigned product(s);
- Responsible for setting up and holding regular interactions with service managers worldwide to ensure that the teams are up to date regarding the latest developments and are able to support our customers;
- Single point of contact with the technical teams of our cooperation partners (OEMs) in relation to the assigned products(a);
- Ensure the relevant service organizations have the right number of qualified and trained personnel to perform the needed respective jobs;
- Active support of the business development team in assessing new products and partners, including technical feasibility and compatibility with the capabilities of network, etc.;
- Responsibility for the definition and implementation of all technical work packages during the go-to-market phase (as part of the product management team): technical concepts, preparation/adaptation of technical presentations, webinars, training, participation in roadshows, etc.
Time distribution of your responsibilities:
You will be a part of a highly ambitious and supportive technical consulting team. This overview will give you a good idea of what your role will look like:
- 40% technical product(s) support (internal and external customers)
- 30% alignment / coordination with local service entities of Company globally
- 20% preparation of all necessary technical work packages
- 10% business development support: assessment of new products and partners
Your qualifications:
- Master degree in engineering or comparable
- 5+ years’ experience in a service (after sales), ideally in a global matrix organization
- Sound technical knowledge of equipment used in maritime and power generation industries
- Strategic mind and experience with implementing new products/services (on the technical side)
In addition, you will also be:
- Skilled in effective communication across diverse cultures and environments
- Readiness to travel internationally (~10% of time)
