I am looking for an Open-Source Technology Evangelist who can lead the technical charge in driving forward their Open-Source initiatives.
This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about Open Source, loves to engage with tech communities, and thrives on sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm.
Remote opportunity (candidates can be based in Ireland, the UK, Germany, or Poland)
Employment: 12 months Contract

IN THIS HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL POSITION, YOU WILL:
- Be an active leader within the Open-Source community, representing the company at the Technical Steering Committee level.
- Share your expertise in Open-Source technologies, such as Fuchsia, Flutter, React Native, WASM, Chromium, and OpenSSL.
- Regularly speak at tech conferences, publish insightful white papers, and lead engaging tech Meetup groups.
- Collaborate closely with the software development team, guiding them to align with Open-Source standards and best practices.
- Showcase your exceptional communication skills, presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of software development practices, including Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively handling the pace and demands of a fast-moving environment.
YOUR ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Experience in cross-department collaboration.
- Leadership experiences, such as managing a team or project.
- Understanding of the business side of open source, like licensing and compliance.
- Familiarity with design thinking or UX principles.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
- Experience in a startup environment or launching new products/services.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance, especially as it relates to open-source software.
