For this client we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cloud-native observability professional.

As a Cloud-Native Observability Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Linux network technologies and enhancing full stack observability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance and reliable network applications using Cilium and eBPF.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters with a focus on networking and observability.
  • Integrate full stack observability tools to monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot distributed systems across various layers.
  • Optimise and troubleshoot network performance issues within a Linux environment.
  • Improve system observability and reliability through data-driven approaches.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, particularly in areas of network development and observability, such as eBPF
  • Document and maintain architecture and system design for network applications.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in network development, with expertise in Kubernetes, Cilium or Calico, eBPF, and Linux network stack.
  • Proficient in full stack observability tools and practices.
  • Strong programming skills in Go, C, Rust, or similar languages.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing, container orchestration, and microservices architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and Linux kernel.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as a Senior Developer with a focus on monitoring and observing distributed systems at scale.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes networking and observability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a culture of innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and articulate complex technical concepts.
