We are seeking an experienced Military IT Systems Consultant to join our client’s team in Brussels.

As a Military IT Systems Consultant, you will be responsible for communicating with military and civilian stakeholders, eliciting military business requirements and transforming them into software requirements, developing and implementing training plans, supporting military exercises, performing training and demonstrations on military IT software, and consulting on military-related topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with military and civilian stakeholders in order to coordinate activities, get needs, share ideas.
  • Elicit the military business requirements and transform them – or support an analyst in the transformation – into Software Requirements.
  • Develop and/or implement training plans concerning Command and Control (C2) or other military software.
  • Support the EU military exercises during the preparatory and the execution phases.
  • Perform and/or support training and demonstrations on military IT software (e.g., C2, planning).


  • Holding EU citizenship is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the military domain (not necessarily as a soldier), or in the emergency domain (e.g., police, Red Cross, fire brigades, crisis centre, disaster management), within one or more of the following areas:
    • Situational awareness
    • Communications
    • Planning
    • Logistics
    • Interoperability.
  • Knowledge of C2 systems.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-498 software development methodology.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in information system security.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Visio (or similar packages).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in a team, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.
