Our client, a leading financial and banking company seeks a Lead Platform Architect to assist in problem-solving, system planning, design. The Infrastructure Design team, comprised of Technology Architects, analyzes and designs infrastructure frameworks to match application and system requirements while adhering to operational standards and engineering principles. They collaborate closely with application and other key teams to ensure infrastructure and application architecture align with the company’s security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.
Contract type: Ltd.
Duration: 12 -months
Daily rate: €525 – €610
Model: Hybrid in Dublin 18 (2-3 days in the office)
As Lead Platform Architect you will be responsible for:
- Gather requirements, analyze infrastructure, and design solutions adhering to client’s tech and security policies.
- Collaborate with peers, engineers, and users to meet high-level requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documents and models for architecture alignment.
- Ensure architectural products stay current and never become outdated.
- Implement, manage, and support application infrastructure using best practices.
- Resolve global internet architecture and operational issues.
- Lead in defining new standards and evaluate new technology.
- Manage regional projects and oversee planning, resources, and implementation.
- Contribute to incident diagnosis and performance tuning.
- Assist in capacity planning and configuration management for client’s components.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of middleware technologies, including Web Servers, Application Servers, Queue Managers, Messaging, and Caching.
- Advanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery.
- Advanced knowledge of the Java Virtual Machine and Garbage collection.
- Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.
- Advanced knowledge of network and operating system principles.
- Working knowledge of Database technologies.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
- Solid knowledge of techniques or methodologies to achieve non-functional requirements like reliability, availability, resilience, performance, and security.
- Working knowledge of Role Based Access Control, Authentication, and Authorization mechanisms.
- Proficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
