Language Specialist – Ukrainian
Our client a leading, international ICT and smart devices provider is looking to hire a Language Specialist to join their expanding team in Warsaw. They are looking for a native Ukrainian speaker with fluent English, ideally along with prior experience with translation. This position is fully onsite.

This role will initially be on a 12-month contract with a view to extension or permanency.

Main responsibilities:
- Execute translations (mainly Marketing and T&Cs) in MS Office and in our CAT tool.
- Help drive your language quality, style, and terminology in the team.
- Execute many language-dependent business operations, such as reviewing user comments, configuring, and launching localized activities (banners, push notifications, etc.), monitoring regional Newsfeed, approving region-specific Ads, training chatbots, and voice AI, etc.
- Analyse business data with related tools and generate business reports.
- Report to a manager of the Multilingual Center.
Education and skills:
- Degree in Translation, Localization, Linguistics, or similar. Technology or Media is a plus.
- Native speaker and expert in the Ukrainian language
- Fluent in English. Additional EU languages are very desirable.
- Good at teamwork, self-organization, good communication skills, motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment with proactivity and initiative.
Experience:
- Native level of Ukrainian.
- Min. 1-2 (ideally 4+) years of translation experience.
- Min. Bachelor’s degree holder, Master's degree preferred (ideally in translation, linguistics, language studies etc.).
Beneficial, but not a must:
- Additional EU languages.
- 1+ years working in a corporate environment, in a big multinational company.
- Experience working with CAT tools (computer-assisted translation, the likes of Trados, MemoQ etc).
- Previous experience with translating/transcreating marketing materials would be a big plus.
