As an HR Payroll Specialist with a focus on benefits and payroll, you will be at the forefront of managing and administering employee benefits programs and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. This role is essential in providing support to employees regarding benefits inquiries, collaborating with external vendors, and maintaining strict compliance with relevant Belgian laws and regulations. Your attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information will make you a valuable asset in our team.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Educate employees on available benefits, eligibility criteria, and enrollment procedures.
- Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with benefit providers to resolve employee inquiries and issues related to benefits.
- Maintain meticulous benefits records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
- Prepare and process payroll in strict compliance with company policies and Belgian legal requirements.
- Verify the precision of time and attendance data, deductions, and earnings.
- Collaborate with finance or accounting departments to reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll-related taxes, deductions, and withholdings.
- Generate comprehensive payroll reports and provide relevant information to management and external stakeholders when needed.
Compliance and Recordkeeping:
- Stay up-to-date with pertinent Belgian employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with federal, regional, and local regulations concerning benefits and payroll.
- Maintain confidential and precise employee records, encompassing benefits information and payroll data.
- Generate reports for audits, government agencies, and internal purposes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to benefits and payroll.
Employee Support and Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll.
- Offer guidance and clarification on benefit plans, payroll processes, and policies.
- Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and oversee open enrollment periods.
- Effectively communicate any changes or updates to benefits plans or payroll processes to employees.
- Assist employees in resolving any issues or concerns related to benefits or payroll.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of HR experience, including 1+ year in Belgium.
- Previous experience working with payroll and benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Fluent English.
- Proficiency in either French, Dutch, or Mandarin.
