DevOps Engineer (SRE)
Location: Wroclaw
Model: Hybrid (3-4 days remote)
Contract: Permanent
Pay: up to PLN 25k/month gross
Are you a seasoned engineer with a background in Site Reliability and a passion for independent work? Do you seek to grow your engineering career? In this position with one of the largest financial institutions in Poland, you will be responsible for all aspects of application production support, deployment, monitoring, and the development of tools to facilitate these activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with service transition managers, development leads, and architects to ensure that new application designs meet expected standards for Site reliability.
• Early consideration of non-functional production support requirements in the lifecycle of new applications.
• Driving the automation agenda for the team in partnership with the automation group.
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, tooling, and applications meet the highest quality standards.
• Supporting the Service & Product Manager across several technical domains.
• Contributing expertise to the management of existing and new IT products and services.
• Defining workarounds for known errors and initiating process improvements.
• Assisting in planning Business Continuity Planning (BCP), patching, and other infrastructure-related projects.
• Contributing to the automation of manual processes.
• Engaging in problem management to identify root causes and prevent issues from reoccurring.
The ideal candidate will have:
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Unix, SQL, and MS Office products.
• Proficiency with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA, and batch scheduling tools like Autosys.
• Hands-on experience and technical knowledge of cloud concepts.
• Expertise in the enterprise tooling and service management space, including monitoring, event management, robotics, and automation.
• An Azure certification (AZ104 and above).
• A good understanding of Postgres, which will be an added advantage.
• Azure experience, including monitoring, databases such as Postgres, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Web Apps, and Azure Functions.
• The ability to solve complex issues, strong problem statement analysis, and solution design thinking skills.
• A track record of building strong relationships with senior IT stakeholders and business partners.
• The capability to understand client needs and translate them into products and services.
