Position Overview:
As the Principal Cyber Security Solutions Consultant & Architect for EMEA , you will be responsible for designing and implementing the strategic roadmap for Zero Trust adoption in line with industry best practices and principles.
Thereafter using this proven framework to develop and implement the ZTM (Zero Trust Model) and ZTMM (Zero Trust Maturity Model) internally within the organisation while leading large-scale security projects. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure Cloud computing service provider business models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gap Assessment: To initiate the project, you will conduct a thorough assessment of the existing security infrastructure and practices in place within the client’s organization. This assessment will be based on a reference framework and industry best practices. The goal is to identify gaps and vulnerabilities in the current security setup.
- Zero Trust Framework Development: Based on the assessment findings and industry best practices and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles, you will develop a customized Zero Trust framework tailored to our client’s specific needs.
This framework will encompass crucial pillars such as:
- Organization: This involves aligning the client’s organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities with ‘Zero Trust’ principles. It may also include recommendations for creating a culture of security awareness and accountability.
- Process: You will work with the client to redefine security processes, emphasizing the principle of “never trust, always verify.” This includes access control, identity management, and incident response procedures.
- Technology: The transformation project will also focus on implementing the necessary technological solutions, such as identity and access management (IAM) systems, micro-segmentation, and continuous monitoring tools.
- Client’s Business Characteristics: Throughout the project, you will take into consideration the unique characteristics and requirements of the client’s business. This includes understanding the nature of their services, customer base, compliance needs, and any other factors that influence security priorities.
- Consultation and Guidance: As a consultant, you will provide comprehensive guidance and recommendations to the client on all aspects of the Zero Trust implementation. This includes advising on strategic decisions, policy development, technology selection, and change management.
- Continuous Industry Monitoring: Security is an ever-evolving field, and you will continuously track industry best practices and the latest developments in Zero Trust security. This ensures that the client remains up to date with the latest security trends and can adapt their security posture as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree / Masters and supporting Security Certifications
- Expertise in security and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Strong background in cloud computing service provider business models, specifically Microsoft Azure’s ‘Zero Trust’, PaC (Policy as Code).
- Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing large-scale Zero Trust Model / Framework or experience in designing, developing, and applying Zero Trust Architecture tools/products.
- Familiarity with industry practices, including Zero Trust related open source tools or commercial products (e.g. Open Policy Agent, HashiCorp Sentinel, Chef Inspec, Checkov, pulumi, and AWS/Azure/GCP cloud native PaC services), and mastery of their respective functional features and usage scenarios.
