Our client is an international operations management and consulting firm, committed to supporting digital transformation, data science and change management projects for customers worldwide.
With offices in the US, Singapore, India, the UK and the EU region and over 30.000 staff members, they continue growing and expanding their operations.
They are looking to hire an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to analyse, design, architect and develop data solutions for deployments to the Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Taking a lead on nominated projects.
- Performing demos of generated software solutions to the squad and the wider business.
- Line management and mentoring more junior team members.
- Leading by example, both in the development approach and in the delivery / interaction with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the squad, other data engineers and the wider business to deliver the most effective possible solution.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of solid development experience in Scala, Python or Java.
- Team leadership experience.
- Broad experience working within AWS and capable of working from infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security groups, S3 etc) to AWS data platforms (Redshift, RDS, Glue etc.).
- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation with Terraform and of test tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, ScalaTest, pytest.
- Working knowledge of build tools– Maven, Gradle, SBT or equivalent.
- Exposure to the Big Data Ecosystem with Apache Spark or Hadoop.
